Excellent experience. I called and received a quote the very next day and had 2 roof repairs completed a few days later in February. UPDATE: JAN 10TH - Apparently their closed now despite them answering their phone while using a different number. - IDFPR WILL BE NOTIFIED & my Attorney will move forward. Not even about the money anymore. It’s about holding people accountableHorrible company. At first, they seem easy to work with and promise high-quality work using good materials and very friendly - However, after the the work was done I noticed the shingles were not laid properly , and the invoice says that I would get color-matching shingles—which I DID NOT GET. It looks like they used leftover shingles from a previous job instead of purchasing new ones that matched.My main issue was a leaking valley and a leaking bedroom ceiling. They “repaired” it very poorly, despite charging me $4,050. I wouldn’t be surprised if it starts leaking again soon, considering the exposed nails and misplaced shingles. ( they did come to lay the shingles better by leaving EXPOSED nails which will soon cause a leak and didnt want to change the shingles to color match )I also paid them $500 to seal my roof hatch, which I understood was a temporary fix—but that repair didn’t even last a month before leaking again. When I called them, they quoted me $1,500 to remove the hatch and said they would credit the $550 toward that job. Two weeks later, I followed up by email, and the price suddenly jumped to $3,500.Their final email said, “You want to play games—let’s go!” What does that even mean? Is he threatening to come to myhome and start a fight? I’m reporting this message to the police in case they attempt anything.Do not trust this company. - they quote you using a drone without actually getting up and doing a better job finding the problem
Our roof had a pesky leakage issue due to worn out wall flashing and roofing materials. Rain water and snow melt had found a way into our house and was creating a mess each rainy day.Chicago Roofing Services responded quickly to our call and provided a prompt, detailed description of needed work and repairs. They completed the work in a single day, very soon afterwards. Robert was friendly, prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. Chicago Roofing Services were respectful of our property and even reinstalled our patio decking MORE secure than it had been, prior to the repair work. We're definitely pleased with how the work was completed. We recommend Chicago Roofing Services to homeowners in need of roof repair services.
I had a good overall experience with Chicago Roofing Services. The owner, Bob, quickly set me up with an appointment to inspect our residential flat roof and his son, Robert, came out immediately to provide us with a competitive quote within a day. Drone footage of our property was provided with the detailed proposal to allow us to make a more informed decision.The company kept me updated with a bird’s eye view of the project (via photos) as the work progressed under Robert’s supervision. Their transparency definitely helps with any customers who are concerned about deceptive practices in the industry. Bob is very responsive as well so ask questions if you are ever uncertain of anything. The project was completed within the estimated timeframe to our satisfaction.
Be sure to look up "Chicago Roofing Services INC" -- emphasis on the "inc" -- since this seems to be a new listing, probably in an attempt to hide the bad reviews.It was a nightmare working with them. We hired this company in late 2023 to do a complete tearoff and install, and now in mid-2025, we are replacing the poorly installed roof. (There are detailed reviews over on the "inc" Google listing as well as the BBB page.)None of the work was done to National Roofing Contractors Association's standards. We hired a roofing consultant and, unfortunately, we were given a 17-page document highlighting all of the work done incorrectly, including water "ponding" in 3 areas on the roof.In addition to the poor installation, while the project was underway, Chicago Roofing Services' inadequate protection of open areas resulted in $600k of water damage, affecting nearly all condos in our building. It was the insurance claim from hell (they had inadequate insurance, btw, so we used our own), the building needed remediation and we had to move out of our homes.I would avoid this company -- they lack the proper contractor licensing, their work does not meet standards, and their insurance is inadequate.
