Plano set a rain record on February 14, 2026. Unfortunately we had a leak in our roof. But I texted Robert Stevens with Bold Roofing on Sunday and he promptly answered me back. He came out the very next day to take a look at our roof. He's so knowledgeable! He's the best! He's been with Bold Roofing for many many years. In fact they have put 3 roofs on our residences and also one for my next too neighbor. Whenever we have a need for our roof we always call on Bold Roofing.
I give Bold Roofing five stars because they just replaced my roof and did excellent job. From the moment I called Robert Stevens, who was recommended by my brother, I could tell I was in good hands. He’s very professional and straightforward guy who told me upfront what I’m looking at without any games. His communication was prompt and everything was organized according to the plan. He also helped me save a lot of money, which makes me even happier.
We had a fantastic experience with Bold Roofing! They did our roof, fence, and window screens, and the quality of their work was excellent. What stood out the most was how well they worked with our insurance company, guiding us through the entire process and helping coordinate everything. They didn’t pressure us for payment until all of the work was completely finished, which we really appreciated. The team was professional, communicative, and dependable throughout the project. Highly recommend them to anyone needing roofing or exterior home repairs!
Bold Roofing did an exceptional job at my house. I only wanted the back of the house reroofed as the sun had destroyed the shingles. Gabe Gonzales gave me a fair estimate and was able to find the class 4 shingles I was looking for. The workmanship of the roof installation was top shelf. I couldn't be more pleased. Not only did the roof look great, but they went the extra mile to paint the edges of the skylights and painted the flashing behind the skylights. I asked the lead man what he would charge me to nail down forty feet of flashing on a different part of the house that wasn't being roofed. He said he would be happy to do it for me no charge. It took him about 15 minutes. He got a well-deserved tip from a happy customer as I had tried to make the repair previously, and it didn't hold. Also, it's the first time I have had a roof put on that I couldn't find any nails that they failed to pick up. Thank you, Bold Roofing, for your excellent work.
We used Bold Roofing after hail damage to our home. When we initially spoke with our contractor, Gabe Gonzales, we were told all repairs would be completed within two weeks. In reality, it took over two months just to get a window replaced.Throughout that time, we repeatedly reached out to Gabe for a simple timeline update (about once a week). Our calls and messages were consistently ignored. The only way we were able to get a response was by contacting the home office directly. When we finally did get through to Gabe, he was extremely unprofessional — he chewed me out over the phone, and then hung up on me.All we ever asked for was basic communication: a realistic timeline, and updates if delays occurred. Instead, we were left in the dark and then treated poorly when we tried to get answers.To be fair, the crew who completed the roof and fence work did a good job, and we have no complaints about the quality of their workmanship. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and unprofessional behavior from the contractor completely overshadowed that.Based on our experience and after reading similar reviews, I would not recommend working with Gabe Gonzales. Communication and professionalism matter, and this experience fell far short of expectations.
