I would hire and recommend Sela to anyone looking for home repair. Sela replaced our roof, reinstalled our gutters, and had an expert craftsman help patch some cedar shake on our 165 year old historic home. The communication, craftsmanship, attention to detail, professionalism, availability for questions, and efficiency of their team was unimpeachable. We had a small road bump in the work (as most large house projects do) and Sela handled it quickly, professionally and seamlessly for us. I think when a large scale home project goes perfectly, that’s rare, so I always look for a company that works with you when there’s an unexpected challenge that arises. I’ve haven’t worked with a contractor yet on any project that was as kind, professional, and committed to ensuring we were satisfied as Sela. For any other house projects, I’ll check if Sela can do the work first - I trust their crew to do a great job. Matt was incredible to work with and their whole crew was quick, clean, friendly, and did a wonderful job.

Why Sela: based on reputation and ability to be “one stop,” for all aspects with extensive product selection for both shingle selection and gutters, knowledge of codes and insurance filing.

Project: replacement of 20 year roof on English Tudor, necessitating both new roof sheathing over 90 year old boards and replacement of gutters and downspouts.

Insurance used: after initial estimates I was reminded by a neighbor of back to back wind and hailstorms in July 2024 that took down a large tree limb. Sela was invaluable in assisting with claim.

Sales rep: Kevin Hays is one of the best sales representatives I’ve EVER dealt with in 44 years of home ownership! He attentively listened -and listened- to my preferences and adjusted products. In addition to his initial visit, he was present during the insurance adjuster inspection and stopped by the house on day one of roof installation. His years of knowledge and experience were invaluable in filing and successfully appealing a ridiculously low and component-lacking insurance claim and payment.

Crews: for roof- the hard working, Hispanic crew were craftsmen in their attention to detail, removal and installation! When a rainstorm appeared imminent, they stopped removal of shingles and gutters on part of house, quickly having wood sheathing delivered and installing so base underlayment protected the exposed house.
Gutters/downspouts: the two person team were also long-skilled craftsmen, installing new gutters with gutter guards, and downspouts. They met my requests and made several suggestions to change existing flows which I love.

I would, and already have recommended both Sela and Kevin Hays.

We had a great experience with Sela, from the start our salesman Matt was kind and super knowledgable. He and the team at Sela made the process effortless on our part. They advocated for us and handled the insurance process completely, getting us well taken care of. Due to a big hail storm we had to replace our roof and gutters and Sela did not disappoint. From the first call to the craftsmen who were executing the work we were impressed, they were experienced, efficient, yet without spare to detail. I was impressed to find some of them had been working with Sela for 30 years, others 10+. The work was stared within one week and just a couple days later it was complete, thank you Sela for the beautiful new rood and gutters.

I would highly recommend Sela Roofing & Remodeling to anyone looking for a roofing company they can trust completely. They turned what could have been a stressful, complicated project into a smooth and pleasant experience with amazing results.

He was very efficient and walked me through the entire process as I had everything from roof, gutters to a new chimney completed by Sela.
