We had several small slow leaks on either side of a third-storey dormer on a fairly steeply pitched roof. These had stumped the previous roofer who was only able to effect a temporary fix by applying membrane material over two large areas. This had been in place for months until we hired Jack upon the enthusiastic recommendation of friends, and after considering and receiving quotes from other roofers.Jack was thorough in his analysis of the source of the problem and alternative approaches for solving it. Throughout, we were confident that Jack had a sound understanding of what was needed. It was easy to review and discuss alternative solutions with him. His manner was thoughtful, competent and cooperative. He was pleasant to deal with from beginning to end. He and his team delivered quality work, at a fair price, within the expected timeframe without the delays we have experienced in the past with most other roofers.The roof access was far from easy, given the close proximity to the neighbours' house, and the problem solving was not straightforward because of the manner in which the dormer flashing had been installed originally. He showed professionalism and skill in addressing the challenge of installing and working from scaffolding in the narrow space between our house and the neighbours'. I had a small roof leak and Jack was able to come over that day and take a look. Drain on the flat roof was frozen and loaded up with leaves - he broke up all the ice, cleaned the drain, and cleared a bunch of the snow built up on the roof, and the leaking stopped.Jack was very professional, got the job done quickly, and was not expensive. Will definitely be hiring him again in the spring to inspect the roof and re-check the seams near the drain
