We called Riptide after we noticed a soft spot over our extension and water intrusion. The job ended up being a LOT more than a simple shingle replacement, including replacement of the roof, shingles, and back wall. It didn't go particularly well, here are the highlights:- The project was marred with scheduling snafus. Even at the beginning of the project, we agreed on times, made ourselves available, and no one to showed up. This happened in the estimating of the project, and while the interior was being rebuilt.- The work quality was rough around the edges, with the roof line now being noticeably less level than it was before the repair; repeated call backs over cracked drywall, holes, ledges, and gaps (especially around the corners); minor imperfections throughout (such as water lines clamped weird etc.)- During the project, unforeseen issues arose. Such as, the hood vent of our water heater was dislodged and damaged to the point that it wasn't venting to the outside (which I replaced and repaired myself) and the electrical was cut for the lighting in the room.- The electrical repair was one of our biggest concerns not only because it caused the crew to be called out for an additional two days, but also because the repair was not completed by an electricianThrough multiple conversations, the crew listened and understood where we were coming from and could tell that we weren't particularly happy. They attempted to fix the issues that we brought up. This included doing a bit of the drywall mudding and taping (that was above and beyond the original scope of work) and gave us a 5% discount. They took responsibility and accountability, which is good, but still leaves a bad taste in the mouth, you know
We hired this company to replace our roof and we are very satisfied with the result. The work was done quickly, professionally, and with great quality. The crew arrived on time, completed everything in an organized way, and left the site clean. The roof looks excellent, with good materials and reliable installation. It was a pleasure dealing with responsible people who keep their promises. Highly recommend!
Hi I’m Ron! I have a rental house in Saskatoon and it started to leak on Wednesday through the roof into my house. I called Riptide Roofing on Thurs and they said they would be out on Friday. Well it’s Friday and I have a new roof and let me tell you it’s beautiful and the work they did was excellent. I’m shocked and happy that this company went out of their way to do an excellent job as well as kept me informed and took pictures of the roof which I appreciated. I called Riptide after another company gave me an inflated quote. They sent me a reasonable quote immediately, which I accepted and they had the job done within 24 hours. I think the usual wait is a week or two but it was an easy double garage so they squeezed me in right away. The crew was fast and efficient and at my place for less than 3 hours. They cleaned up well. The new roof looks great and my neighbours are happy with the much improved view! I highly recommend them.
Ben and crew provided a timely competitive quote and did what they said they would do. I was pleasantly surprised to see they removed and remounted a Satelite dish and cell phone booster that I said I would look after. Jordan was great to deal with on site and they meticulously cleaned up everything when they were finished the job. Would absolutely recommend Riptide Roofing to anyone looking for a shingle project.
